Torture have been one of the year’s biggest sensations in underground heavy music, thanks in part to their much-talked-about live show, but unfortunately they’ve just had to drop off the Undeath tour after all of main member K.K.’s touring members left the band.
“My touring members had to step away from the band, due to many different factors,” K.K. wrote in an Instagram story. “I wish them all the absolute best, I love them so much, and sincerely hope their decision results in the bettering of their lives + well-being.”
“That being said, I’m currently looking for new members,” K.K. continues. “This is not the end, I WILL continue no matter what. It’s extremely disappointing to have to cancel this month’s dates, but we will hopefully be back next month. I’m so sorry to anyone who wanted to see us these upcoming weeks, this came as a shock to me as well. I love you all so much. WE WILL BE BACK !!!!!!!”
This is the second hit that the Undeath tour took after Kruelty had to drop off the first few dates due to visa issues, but fortunately they were able to meet up with the tour in Seattle. The tour hits NYC on October 20 at Meadows.
Undeath commented on the matter, saying: “Now that it’s out there: yes, Torture made the frustrating decision to drop off all the shows they were going to play with us. We’ve been rolling with the punches this whole tour, though, so we’re just going to keep it pushing with dope locals opening those shows instead.”
Assuming all goes well with Torture finding a new lineup by next month, they’ve got a November tour with UK death-metallic hardcore band Splitknuckle lined up (including a show at Tubby’s in Kingston, NY on 11/11), and after that, they’re scheduled to play Dying Wish’s Christmas show in Portland, For the Children in LA, and FYA Fest in Orlando. Splitknuckle also have Northeast dates with Big Boy around the Torture tour.
