Tool announce lineup by day for destination fest ft. Mastodon, Coheed & Cambria, Primus, more

Tool are throwing their first-ever destination festival, Live in the Sand, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic next year, happening on March 7-9 at Hard Rock & Royalton Resorts, and they’ve announced the lineup by day. Tool themselves headline Friday (3/7) and Saturday (3/8), with Mastodon headlining Sunday (3/9).

Friday also features Coheed & Cambria and King’s X; Saturday has Primus (with Tool’s Danny Carey joining them on drums following the departure of Tim “Herb” Alexander), Fishbone, and Moon Walker; and on Sunday it’s Eagles of Death Metal, CKY, and Wheel. There will also be immersive exhibits and talks with Tool’s longtime visual collaborators Alex Grey and Allyson Grey throughout the weekend.
