UK funeral doom pioneers Esoteric have announced their first North American tour in over 10 years, marking only their second North American tour ever. It includes shows with Canadian death metal greats Chthe’ilist, Massachusetts death-doomers Vacant Eyes, and Denver death-doomers Spectral Voice, varying by date. It also includes Maryland Deathfest, which Spectral Voice also play.
The tour hits NYC on May 19 at TV Eye in Ridgewood, and that show is with both Spectral Voice and Chthe’ilist. Tickets for that amazing three-band bill aren’t on sale yet but should be soon. All dates are listed below.
Spectral Voice (whose lineup includes 3/4 of Blood Incantation) released their great new album Sparagmos on Dark Descent today (read our review), and they also announced several tour dates without Esoteric. That includes May 20 in Brooklyn and May 21 in Lake Como, NJ, though it appears venues aren’t listed yet so stay tuned. Check out the tour flyer below.
UPDATE: The Brooklyn show is May 20 at Saint Vitus with Ruin Lust, Contaminated, and Savage Pleasure; and the NJ show is May 21 at Salty’s Beach Bar with Siege Column and more TBA.
