Philly screamo band Sonagi (members of Closer, The Saddest Landscape, Capacities, Pique, and more) have announced that they’ll follow their 2022 debut album Precedent (Get Better Records) with a new four-song EP, Everything Is Longing, on August 2 via Touché Amoré vocalist Jeremy Bolm’s Secret Voice label (pre-order). It was engineered and mixed by Saetia/Off Minor’s Steve Roche, and a press release says the EP deals with grief, inspired by the loss of vocalist Ryann Slauson’s father and those lost during the pandemic, as well as life as a trans person. The first single is the powerful “Rain Shadow,” and you can watch the video for that below.
Sonagi also have a few West Coast dates coming up in July, and those are listed below as well.
