Portrayal of Guilt are celebrating the third anniversary of Christfucker (one of two albums they released in 2021) with a remix album called Christfucker II. The first single is out now and the whole thing comes out on Halloween (which is this Thursday) via Run For Cover, and remixers include Pictureplane, Vowws, Pendant, Grooming, DJ Speedsick, Buzz Kull, and more. The just-released Anatomy remix of “…where the suffering never ends” puts a beat-driven spin on the sludgy screamo original, and it comes with a video touted as “a remix of late-stage capitalism pharmaceutical ads.” Check that out below.
Portrayal of Guilt recently hit the road opening for Touché Amoré, alongside Soul Glo and Soft Blue Shimmer, and that hits Brooklyn on Halloween (10/31) at Warsaw. PoG also open the Austin date of The Blood Brothers‘ reunion tour in December. All dates are listed below.
In our recent interview with Touché Amoré, vocalist Jeremy Bolm said, “I’ve been a fan of [Portrayal of Guilt] since that first 7″; I think that first 7″ was so exciting when that thing came out–I’m a huge fan of Majority Rule and bands like that, so to hear this band capture that sound and then just to watch their evolution as they’ve experimented into more like death metal stuff and whatever else has just been super cool.”
