Danny Wimmer-presented Kentucky festival Louder Than Life has announced its 2024 edition, happening on September 26-29 at Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. Leading the lineup is the return of Slayer, for one of the first performances they’ve announced since what they said was their “final show” in November of 2019. They perform on Friday (days after headlining Riot Fest), and rounding out the headliners are Slipknot on Thursday, Mötley Crüe on Saturday, and Korn on Sunday.

The 2024 lineup spans five stages and features nearly 150 bands, ranging from heavy metal giants to small punk and hardcore bands and lots of other stuff in between. It includes The Offspring, Sum 41, Marky Ramone (playing Ramones classics), Bob Vylan, Brutus, Touché Amoré, PUP, High Vis, Soul Glo, Kneecap, Jigsaw Youth, and more on Thursday; Rammstein’s Till Lindemann, Anthrax, Clutch, Tom Morello, Show Me The Body, Set It Off, the Chisel, Fugitive, Holy Fawn, Gel, Ho99o9, and more on Friday; Dropkick Murphys, Local H, Mastodon, L.S. Dunes, The Armed, Helmet, Body Count, Three 6 Mafia, Better Lovers, HEALTH, and more on Saturday; and Gojira, Spiritbox, Eagles of Death Metal, Judas Priest, Drug Church, Biohazard, Militarie Gun, Narrow Head, and more on Sunday.
