Nintendocore pioneers HORSE the Band are back to celebrate their 2005 sophomore album The Mechanical Hand with their first proper tour in eight years and their first shows at all since their 2019 West Coast holiday shows. Having previously announced West Coast dates, they’ve now added an East Coast/Midwest leg, including a stop at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on June 19. Pre-sales for the tour start Thursday (1/30) at 10 AM local, and the general public on-sale begins Friday (1/31) at 10 AM local. All dates are listed below.
Support on the East Coast/Midwest dates comes from Sweet//Spine and Melted Bodies, while the West Coast dates are with Lagrimas, Flake, and Othiel.
In a statement given to Lambgoat, HORSE the Band said:
We first appeared at Bullstock ’99, El Toro High School. Next we played lunchtime at our rival high school, and we fucking sucked. Eventually, after practicing our instruments and scales and studying music theory, someone gave us some money to record an album. We released The Mechanical Hand in 2005, introducing the beloved characters of Lord Gold and Manateen and many other such things. Over time, as individuals we struck out to seek our fortunes in the industries of beer brewing, the custodial arts, high-tech startups, and groceries. Some of us reproduced. Now we are here, with renewed vigor, to celebrate together the 20th anniversary of The Mechanical Hand in 2025. We look great for our age. We are going to play every song. It’s going to be hard.
