After teasing their return in June, Faith no More are officially back, having announced their first live shows in over 11 years. “It’s been a minute,” the band wrote on their socials. So far it’s just four dates supporting System of a Down in Australia and New Zealand, hitting Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington in early 2027.
The pairing of groups makes sense as Faith no More signed a global touring deal with Brazilian promoter 30e, who have a similar deal with System of a Down.
Faith No More were supposed to reunite in 2021, alongside frontman Mike Patton’s other band Mr Bungle, but those dates ended up getting canceled. “Sorry to report that due to mental health reasons, I cannot continue with the currently scheduled Faith No More and Mr. Bungle dates,” Patton wrote at the time. “I have issues that were exacerbated by the pandemic that are challenging me right now.”
