Founding Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert (who left the band in 2022) has allegedly been arrested for attempting second degree murder. As Lambgoat reports, arrest records for Montgomery County, MD, list a Brady Ebert, 33, as arrested for attempted second degree murder on March 31.
According to Lambgoat, Ebert was also arrested on a charge of first degree assault, stemming from an incident which allegedly happened on Saturday March 29. They say he made an initial court appearance on Wednesday and has a bail/bond review scheduled for today.

The Baltimore Banner reports Montgomery County Police discovered William Yates, the father of Turnstile singer Brendan Yates, in a front yard in Silver Spring with “trauma to his lower extremities.” More from The Banner:
Family members told detectives that Ebert showed up at the home, honked his horn and yelled obscenities. Ebert then returned and intentionally hit William Yates with his car in the driveway, police allege.
Yates told police that Ebert had “caused issues” with his family after being fired from Turnstile. According to police, Ebert “started to yell that he ‘deserved it'” following the alleged incident on the 29th.
Ebert’s attorney Andy Alpert and a representative for Turnstile didn’t respond to The Banner‘s requests for comment.

Turnstile have now released a statement via Rolling Stone, saying that Ebert “used his vehicle to run over Brendan’s father [William Yates], causing severe physical trauma” and that Brendan’s father “has successfully undergone surgery, and we’re hoping for the best possible outcome in his recovery.” More:
Turnstile cut ties with Brady Ebert in 2022 in response to a consistent pattern of harmful behavior affecting himself, the band, and the community. After exhausting every available resource to support his access to help and recovery, a boundary ultimately had to be set when healthy communication was no longer possible and he began threatening violence. In the years since, his baseless tirades have continued in public. We never addressed it. We chose to protect his privacy and the circumstances around his departure, even when he did nothing to be deserving of that protection. Over the past few months, his threats only escalated further. … We have no language left for Brady.
Rolling Stone also reports that a bail and bond hearing for Ebert is set for later Thursday, with a preliminary hearing set for May 1.
After parting ways with Turnstile, Ebert began playing in The S.E.T, who made their live debut in September. The S.E.T has since cut ties with him, releasing a statement in February which read:, “Brady is no longer a member of THE S.E.T. We will not stand by his ridiculous comments and behavior toward the members of our band and our community. We will continue to put on for Baltimore hardcore and thank everyone for their support.”
