Dreamless Veil is a new metal band with some familiar faces, including Inter Arma/Artificial Brain vocalist Mike Paparo (he’s been singing for AB since 2023), Artificial Brain guitarist Dan Garguilo, and Psycroptic/Werewolves drummer Dave Haley. Their debut album Every Limb Of The Flood, due September 20 via Relapse (pre-order), was recorded by Dan’s old Revocation bandmate Brett Bamberger, mixed by Dan himself, and mastered by Gorguts/Krallice’s Colin Marson. A press release refers to it as “a blackened concept album that follows the travails of Grief, a character who awakens from extended debauchery and begins the slow and torturous process of trying to disappear completely.”
First single “A Generation of Eyes” is a furious, suspenseful black metal track with a lyrical nod to Neil Young (who Inter Arma have also covered), and it’s got us very excited to hear what else this band have up their sleeves. Check it out below.
