Converge have curated a new Boston festival. Named after their Petitioning the Empty Sky track, Saddest Day happens on Saturday, December 13 at Roadrunner. They’ve put together a stacked lineup for the occasion: they’re headlining, and also performing are Touché Amoré, Coalesce, The Hope Conspiracy, Soul Glo, Year of the Knife, Stress Positions, Wormwood, and a special guest to be announced. There will also be a live art exhibit by J Bannon, Thomas Hooper, Nightswim Project, and more, plus vendors, records, merch, and non-profits.
Tickets go on sale Thursday, July 24 at 10 AM ET, with a presale starting Wednesday, July 23 at 10 AM ET (use the password SADDESTDAY).
Converge are playing a few other festivals this summer and fall, including Furnace Fest and Fire in the Mountains, and supporting The Dillinger Escape Plan in Denver. See all dates below.
Meanwhile, after debuting new music on tour during the spring, Bannon has been giving updates on Converge’s first proper album since 2017’s The Dusk in Us on his Substack, but it remains TBA for now. Stay tuned.
