Hudson, NY music and art festival Basilica Soundscape returned for its first full edition since 2019 from Friday through Sunday (9/27-9/29) at Basilica Hudson, with a lineup booked by Ben Seretan and Brandon Stosuy (The Creative Independent, ex-Pitchfork, etc). Photographer Ellen Qbertplaya attended on Saturday, which featured sets from Lightning Bolt, Pussy Riot Siberia (the new performance art / noise music / visual art project from Nadya Tolokonnikova, who was unable to be there in person; her bandmates Riley Bray and Max Lawton did a hybrid live/video set instead), Helado Negro, ELUCID, Still House Plants, Maria BC, Cassandra Jenkins, Greg Mendez, Couch Slut, Babehoven, Kinlaw, and poet John-Francis Quiñonez for the festival’s “Writer in the Rafters” series. Basilica Soundscape 2024 also featured a six hour all vinyl b2b set from Octo Octa And Eris Drew, powered by their LUV NRG sound system, on Friday, and a free community day on Sunday.
