Techno innovator Daniel Avery embraced his ’90s alt-rock youth on last year’s Tremor, which featured guest appearances from Alison Mosshart, Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell, Walter Schreifels, and more. He’s now turned the dial on the album over into club territory, remixing the entire thing. Tremor (Midnight Versions) will be out March 6 via Domino.
“Midnight” is a good descriptor for this album, as Avery has stripped away the guitars and rock drums for something jet-black, sleek and sensual. Daniel says: “Every tremor has a reaction. Daniel has also announced a North American DJ tour happening this spring. The NYC stop is at Public Records on April 25. All dates are listed below.
