If you’ve logged onto social media in the past few weeks, you’ve probably seen the viral “Every European Dance Song in the 1990’s” video. It features a man and a woman parodying the sound and often-broken English of ’90s Eurodance, with instantly-quotable lines like “When the rhythm is glad/There is nothing to be sad” and “Women are my favorite guy.” The man in question is comedian Kyle Gordon using the name DJ Crazy Times, and the woman singing is Chrissi Poland using the name Ms. Biljana Electronica, though the video stars a different woman, Audrey Trullinger. Since that video came out, DJ Crazy Times put out two more videos with other women lip-syncing Chrissi’s part, Mara Olney and Sabrina Brier. Apparently the plan is for this to be not just another meme, but an entire career of musical parody, as Kyle has announced a full album, Kyle Gordon Is Great, coming November 10 via major label BMG. “After years building my own audience on social media, as well as touring around the country, I am so grateful that BMG was willing to take a chance on my singular comedy vision,” Kyle said in a press release. “My first record is the culmination of years of comedy characters and genre parodies that I have developed in my unique live show (e.g. an angsty emo teen, a 90’s EDM DJ of vague Eastern European origin, a Shania Twain-esque pop country mega star, etc.). Some of these songs I’ve turned into super popular digital content, while many will be brand new to my millions of fans and followers.”

The full “Every European Dance Song in the 1990’s” song, titled “Planet of the Bass,” is out today, with a video starring all three Ms. Biljana Electronica lip-syncers. If you’re curious, you can check it out below.
