The Jesus and Mary Chain are gearing up for their fall North American tour with The Psychedelic Furs that starts September 29 in Philadelphia. Just ahead of that they’ve shared a new single, “Pop Seeds.” If you’re a fan of their 1994 single “Sometimes Always” with Hope Sandoval, this is very much in that mold, with strummed acoustic guitars and a warm melody, and a chorus of “Don’t let those grey skies get you down.” It also has frontman Jim Reid reminiscing about the band’s formative years.
