Syrian artist Omar Souleyman has announced his first US shows in years with a night on each coast in the coming weeks. First he’ll hit LA on September 15 at The Vermont Hollywood, and a couple days later he’ll play Brooklyn on September 17 at Pioneer Works with Kill Alters. Tickets to both shows are available now.
Omar’s last project was his 2019 LP Shlon, and his previous work includes his 2013 album with Four Tet, Wenu Wenu. He began his musical career in 1994, having been a wedding singer, and has pioneered a unique style of Syrian-influenced dance music in the decades since. Check out his Boiler Room set below.
