Thom Yorke shares “Dialing In,” the theme song to new AppleTV+ series ‘Smoke’

Thom Yorke has recorded the theme song to upcoming AppleTV+ series Smoke. The song’s titled “Dialing In” and Thom’s voice is set against eerie, minimal and atmospheric electric piano and keyboards. You can listen below.

“Working with Thom Yorke was as much an honour for me as working with Clint Eastwood, Martin Scorsese or Richard Price,” says series creator, writer and producer Dennis Lehane, who is best known as a crime author (Mystic River, Shutter Island). “I’ve somehow been blessed with collaborating with living legends who were also formative influences on my own creative life. Thom is definitely that. In addition, he took a basic concept I gave him and delivered a song that perfectly embodies the show and absolutely crushes.”

Smoke stars Taron Egerton and Jurnee Smollett along with John Leguizamo, Greg Kinnear, Anna Chlumsky, Rafe Spall and more. Here’s the synopsis: “When an arson investigator begrudgingly teams up with a police detective, their race to stop two arsonists ignites a twisted game of secrets and suspicions.” Smoke premieres June 27 and you can watch the trailer below.

Thom Yorke also just released the new album Tall Tales, which is a collaboration with Mark Pritchard, and it looks like Radiohead might be playing shows this fall.
