Yo La Tengo are playing Knoxville’s Big Ears Festival and Salt Lake City’s Kilby Block Party this spring, and in between those they’ll be on a tour across the South, Southwest and West Coast. They’ll hit Baton Rouge, Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Santa Fe, Flagstaff, Solana Beach, Pioneertown, Los Angeles and San Francisco, where they have a four-night residency at The Chapel.
Tickets for those spring shows go on sale Friday, December 6 at 10 AM local time and all dates are listed below.
Meanwhile, Yo La Tengo have their annual Hanukkah residency at Bowery Ballroom from December 25 – January 1. Tickets are currently sold out but the band usually release more during the run, so check back then.
In other news, the band’s 1996 compilation Genius + Love = Yo La Tengo — featuring more than two hours of hard-to-find and unreleased Yo La Tengo music from 1988 to 1995 — is getting a new vinyl reissue on January 25 via Matador, and it’s the first time it’s back in print in 20 years. Preorders are available.
