Australian band Quivers are currently on tour across the US opening for Superchunk, in support of their terrific Merge Records debut, Oyster Cuts. While on tour they’ve shot a video for album highlight “Never Be Lonely.”
‘The clip for ‘Never Be Lonely’ is loose and lofi — just the result of bringing our dying VHS camera on tour and chancing upon a heap of big dinosaurs,” the band’s Sam Nicholson tells us. “We were on tour through Olympia, Washington, and drove past Eastside Tom’s burger joint and its mini dino park – something about those towering T-Rexes made us u-turn back a bit later. There was something funny, to us at least, in singing to dinosaurs about friendship, longing and transcendence. Bella singing while holding a dinosaur’s hand.”

Quivers’ tour with Superchunk hits Columbus tonight (10/14) and from there heads to Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, Sioux Falls, Lawrence, Austin and Houston before wrapping up in New Orleans. Quivers also have dates in Australia and Europe this fall and all are listed below.
