!!! (chk chck chk) released new album Shake the Shudder back in May and, while interest in dancepunk may not be what it was in 2005, its’ another excellent record in their canon, this one really popping with energy. Like on their classic Louden Up Now, the band also seems to do well in weird opressive political climates. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can stream it below.
Elton John recently played a !!! song on his Beats 1 Radio show and talked about reading the Uncut review of the new album (6 out of 10) the night before and thinking the review was unfair. The band just posted video of frontman Nic Offer hearing Reg defend them and his (seemingly real time) reaction is pretty great. Watch that above.
The band’s tour hit NYC earlier tis month and they’re currently touring the West Coast, and have just announced new dates with Algiers (none in NYC though) before dates in Europe. All dates are listed below.
