JOE PERNICE
From the Desk of Joe Pernice: “Joe will do some small solo shows in non-traditional, private settings. We have a print shop near Albany, NY; a veterinary clinic in Pittsburgh, rooftop in Reno and a series of backyards and living rooms. Some shows sold out quickly, but HERE you will find a list of shows that have availability, and info about how to buy. A big thanks to our hosts, who are opening their homes and businesses to this great experiment! We expect to add 2-3 more events, but that’s it, because Joe’s hard at work on a new record that should come out next year on New West. We’re excited about that. He’ll play a mix of old and new material at these shows.”
LES SAVY FAV
In a nod to Taylor Swift, Les Savy Fav have announced the Errors Tour, which so far is mostly in Europe, including shows in the UK, Portugal, Wales, Spain, Italy, and Luxembourg. They are playing a very intimate NYC show with pal Marnie Stern at The Knitting Factory NY at Baker Falls on August 17 and say more dates — and new music — are still to come.
FLATBUSH ZOMBIES
Flatbush Zombies have announced a tour celebrating 10 years of their second mixtape, BetterOffDEAD. The trek hits eight US cities during November and December, starting in San Francisco and wrapping up in Anaheim.
RISE UP NYC 2023
New York City Mayor Eric Adams has announced the return of the Rise Up NYC series, which is presenting eight free hip hop and R&B concerts happening across all five boroughs in July and August.
RUNNNER / SUN JUNE
Runnner and Sun June will be teaming up this fall for a US tour, with two NYC shows: Mercury Lounge on November 4 with Caroline Says and Baby’s All Right on November 5 with Greg Mendez. There are also shows in DC, Philly, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, and more.
LAUREN MAYBERRY (CHVRCHES)
Chvrches’ Lauren Mayberry has announced her first solo tour — don’t worry, the band haven’t broken up.
STRANGE RANGER
Strange Ranger just released new album Pure Music, and will be on tour later this summer.
HANNAH DIAMOND
London-based pop and visual artist artist Hannah Diamond has announced her first headlining shows in North America, with stops in Montreal, NYC, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
ALKALINE TRIO
Alkaline Trio have announced new headlining tour dates surrounding their appearances at Hawthorne Heights’ traveling Is For Lovers festival, as well as Pennsylvania’s Four Chord Fest, marking their first-announced headlining shows since longtime drummer Derek Grant left the band and was replaced by Atom Willard.
ARKELLS / ROBERT DELONG
Canadian heartland rockers Arkells will be on tour this fall supporting upcoming album Laundry Pile with opener Robert DeLong. US dates include Albany, Buffalo, Philly, Jersey City (White Eagle Hall on 9/30), Brooklyn (Warsaw on 10/2), Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and more.
DARK TEA
Gary Canino is back with a new Dark Tea single — listen below — and a pair of dates: LA’s Genghis Cohen on August 11 with Felt Genetix (Sam France of Foxygen), and Brooklyn’s Alphaville on October 1 with Lady Appletree.
