Sad news from Foals: “Due to the uncertainties around COVID-19, our upcoming tour with Local Natives & Cherry Glazerr in the United States & Canada has been cancelled. Refunds will be issued shortly. We are heartbroken & hopefully we will be back before too long.”
LOLLAPALOOZA
There is still no decision on whether Lollapalooza 2020, scheduled for July 30 – August 2 in Chicago, will be happening or not (there’s still no announced lineup), but organizers are promising a decision soon. “We remain in touch with our partners in the City of Chicago about this year’s Lollapalooza. As the festival is still several months away, we are taking careful consideration to work through our options….We are confident that we will have enough information to make a definitive decision about the path forward by the end of May. Chicago is our home, and we will continue to remain optimistic about Lollapalooza 2020…In the meantime, we encourage everyone to listen closely to government and public health leaders and stay safe.”
ESSENCE FESTIVAL CANCELED
The 2020 Essence Festival, scheduled for July 4th weekend in New Orleans with Janet Jackson, Janelle Monae, Patti LaBelle & more, has been canceled.
NEW ORLEANS JAZZ FEST NOW CANCELED
New Orleans Jazz Fest had announced it was postponing till the fall, but now it’s just canceled for 2020:
