Warm Love Cool Dreams is a new two-day Chicago festival presented by Empty Bottle and held at The Salt Shed on September 28-29. Each day has its own uniquely designed vibe: “Warm Love” is “experimental, fiery, and untamed” while “Cool Dreams” is “inviting or chill tones.”
Saturday, September 28 is “Warm Love” featuring The Jesus Lizard (their first hometown show in six years), Sextile, Provoker, King Woman, Bendik Giske, Aitis Band and Stress Positions.
Sunday, September 29 is “Cool Dreams” with Kelela, Floating Points, Sister Nancy, Shabaka, 454, John Glacier, and SML.
“The simplicity and beauty of the ideas of warm love and cool dreams was something that occupied my mind for many years,” says festival curator Brent Heyl. “We wanted to build a festival framework that creates an opportunity to showcase the artists love in a way that is concise, unique, and also rips. Playing into these two concepts feels like the way to do just that.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 21 at 10 AM Central. Check out the poster below.
The Jesus Lizard’s tour supporting their first album in 26 years hits NYC on December 11 at Brooklyn Steel.
