The Cure are gearing up for a very busy 2026 with tour dates currently starting at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and running through the summer, with a mix of headline shows and festival appearances. They’ve added more since our last post, though all are in Europe, currently, and include the band’s first ever headline show in Bulgaria. All dates are listed below.
They’ve also confirmed a new album is on the way. That comes via the bio page on The Cure’s website which has been updated with 2025 activities, including releasing Mixes of a Lost World and Robert Smith joining Olivia Rodrigo at Glastonbury. Most notably it also reads: “In March 2025 the band went back into Rockfield Studios to record 13 more songs for a follow up album.”
Robert Smith had said around the release of Songs of a Lost World that the next album was “virtually finished,” so is this that album (probably) or a third that he’s hinted at (possibly)? Stay tuned, but it feels like we’ll know something sooner than later.
One other news nugget: The Cure’s bio page also says that in June of this year, Robert Smith went “back into the studio to help re-edit and re-mix The Show Of A Lost World film” which was shot at their Songs of a Lost World album release show at London’s The Troxy on November 1, 2025.
