The Black Crowes, who released Happiness Bastards — their first album in 15 years — back in March, had planned to spend the fall on tour with Aerosmith, but when Steven Tyler announced that his vocal injuries were too severe and that Aerosmith were retiring from touring, they’ve had to rework their plans. They’ve now announced a revamped fall tour that includes rescheduled dates and new shows. All dates are listed below.
The tour begins in Akron OH on September 27 and wraps up in Port Chester, NY with two nights at The Capitol Theatre on December 21 & 22. Tickets go on presale today (8/21) at 10 AM with the password CROWEMAFIA, and any remaining tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 23 at 10 AM.
Before that, the band’s Chris and Rich Robinson will be at Brooklyn’s National Sawdust on September 11 as part of the Grammy Museum’s “A New York Evening” series at the venue. They’ll talk Happiness Bastards, and more, with a performance to follow. After that, The Black Crowes will play Asbury Park’s Sea.Hear.Now festival on September 14.
