Shoegaze greats Swervedriver are back in action, having recently announced their first new record in five years, and appearances at Nothing’s Slide Away festivals in NYC and Los Angeles. They’ll warm up for Slide Away NYC with a short East Coast tour that hits Raleigh (Kings on 4/21), DC (Black Cat on 4/22), Allston/Boston (Brighton Music Hall on 4/24), and Hamden, CT (Space Ballroom on 4/25).
Tickets for those headline shows go on sale Friday, January 31 at 10 AM local time.
Swervedriver’s The World’s Fair EP is out March 7, and it features contributions from Ride’s Mark Gardner. You can listen to “Volume Control” below.
Slide Away NYC (4/26 @ Brooklyn Paramount) also has Whirr, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Nothing, Lucid Express, and Her New Knife, plus a DJ set from Norman Brannon.
