Sturgill Simpson announces Hurricane Helene benefit show
Sturgill Simpson was forced to cancel the Asheville, NC stop on his tour, scheduled for October 21 at Harrah’s Cherokee Center, due to damage from Hurricane Helene. He’s now announced a benefit show for North Carolina relief efforts that will happen on the same day, October 21 at Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary, NC (he already had a show scheduled there on October 22). Tickets go on sale Friday, October 11 at 10 AM ET, with various presales starting Wednesday, October 9 at 10 AM ET, and proceeds will go to the North Caroline Disaster Relief Fund. MJ Lenderman also had to cancel the first few shows of his tour due to devastation from the hurricane, and Indigo De Souza cancelled a couple of events as she revealed the damage to her home, saying “I need to focus my attention on my community right now.”
