Sturgill Simpson has announced his third album, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth, which will be out via Atlantic on April 15. Simpson produced the album himself and says it was written as a love letter to his first child, who was born in 2014. You can check out first single “Brace For Impact (Live A Little),” a bluesy rock number that’s psyched-up a little with some analogue synths. Simpson, who also sings the theme to HBO’s series Vinyl, will be on tour this spring, kicking things off with a taping of Austin City Limits Live. No dates announced for NYC yet, but all are listed below.
