Slowdive will be back in North America this fall for an East Coast tour after their appearance at Austin’s Levitation festival. The tour’s NYC show, at Brooklyn Paramount on November 18, is sold out, and they’ve just added a second date at the venue on 11/19.

We just caught Slowdive at Øyafestivalen in Olso, Norway last week, where they played a fantastic set that was both very beautiful and very loud. You may not think of the shoegaze icons’ dreamy sound as being primed for a big festival, but with the more upbeat songs from their two most recent albums, mixed with the sheer volume that propelled their waves of shimmering guitars directly into your chest, Slowdive are really at the top of their game these days.
