Slowdive announce self-titled album, share “Sugar for the Pill” video

Slowdive

Last night, Slowdive debuted three new songs at their first show of 2017 and posted a teaser on social media. Now their new album is finally announced. It’s their first album in 22 years, the followup to 1995’s Pygmalion, and it’s self-titled. It comes out May 5 via Dead Oceans.

They also put out the video for “Sugar for the Pill,” a song they played last night. Check out the video, tracklist below. That’s the album artwork, which is a still from the 1957 avant-garde film Heaven and Earth Magic, above.

Slowdive will soon tour North America with Japanese Breakfast, including two Brooklyn shows.

Slowdive also just added a surprise London show happening at The Garage on Wednesday (3/29). It will stream live on their Facebook at 4 PM EST.
