The 38th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony happens Friday, November 3, at Barclays Center. Tickets are on various presales now (with more presales this week) and go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 8 at 10 AM.
Ever since moving to Barclays Center, the Rock Hall induction ceremony has become more of a concert, sometimes featuring reunions of bands being inducted, as well as cool inductions by other artists. They haven’t announced this year’s performers, but say the ceremony will be with “inductees Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Willie Nelson and more.” Whether they perform or not remains to be seen. But one of those possible “and mores” is inductee Kate Bush, who has only toured once ever, hasn’t played live since her acclaimed 2014 run at London’s Eventim Apollo (her first shows since 1979), has never performed in North America, and was known for not liking to fly. Is there any chance she might cross the pond for this?
The other 2023 inductees are Rage Against the Machine, George Michael, and The Spinners, as well as DJ Kool Herc and Link Wray for Musical Influence; Chaka Khan, Al Kooper, and Bernie Taupin for Musical Excellence; and Don Cornelius for the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
