It had been a few years since we’d heard from indie pop mainstays Ra Ra Riot — they released their most recent album, Superbloom, in 2019 — but they were recently revealed as support on part of Vampire Weekend’s tour, and now they’ve announced a few headlining shows, too. They’ll be celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut album, 2008’s The Rhumb Line, by playing it in full in Washington DC, Boston, and NYC in May. “Before the VW shows materialized, we’d been working on putting together a few headlining dates in the northeast — in part to celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Rhumb Line (!), but also because we miss playing for you all so much,” they say. “We’ll be performing TRL in its entirety, along with a smattering of our greatest misses — and a new treat or two.”
The NYC show is at Brooklyn Steel on May 4. Tickets to all three dates go on sale Friday, February 23 at 10 AM ET, with various presales starting today (2/20) at 12 PM ET.
