Pissed Jeans have announced their sixth album, Half Divorced, due out on March 1 via Sub Pop. They produced and mixed it with Don Godwin, and it was engineered by Mike Petillo and mastered by Arthur Rizk. “Half Divorced has an aggression within it,” frontman Matt Korvette says, “in terms of saying, I don’t want this reality. There’s a power in being able to say, I realize you want me to pay attention to these things, but I’m telling you that they don’t matter. I’m already looking elsewhere.” He adds, “We’re not the kind of band that bangs out a new record every two years. Pissed Jeans is truly like an art project for us, which is what makes it so fun.” See the cover art and tracklist below.
The first single is the anthemic “Moving On,” and you can watch the video, directed by regular collaborator Joe Stakun, below.
Pissed Jeans will be on tour in the US starting late in February, with shows in Europe and the UK following in March and April. See all dates below.
The NYC show is on March 16 at Saint Vitus Bar. Tickets to all dates go on sale Wednesday, January 10 at 10 AM local.
