If you’re in the market for tickets to Phish‘s New Years Eve run at Madison Square Garden, look out – the NYPD arrested a man who was allegedly in the midst of creating fake tickets for the shows. As Live For Live Music points out, the NYPD’s 20th Precinct posted on Facebook that they caught up with 33 year old Michael Pinero in the Bronx last Friday, finding him “in the process of creating counterfeit Phish tickets.” They seized his computer, and he’s being prosecuted by the Manhattan District Attorney now.
The precinct, which clearly count Phish fans among their numbers, finish the post by quoting “Poor Heart”:
As Phish fans ourselves, on behalf of Mr. Pinero’s victims, we can think of nothing more appropriate than this:
“I can’t track you anymore
Detective work has sure become a bore
So tell me what you did with it
And stop this ****, give up yourself
Before they come knockin’…”
