
Patti Smith to be honored at “The Music Of” benefit at Carnegie Hall

City Winery founder and CEO Michael Dorf has announced the 2025 edition of his annual “The Music Of…” benefit concert. It happens on March 26 at Carnegie Hall, and will celebrate Patti Smith‘s music. The lineup will feature over 20 artists, who are still to be announced, and VIP ticket packages are on sale now, with proceeds going to music education programs for underserved youth. General admission ticket sales will follow on October 22, 2024.
Previous “The Music Of” shows have honored Crosby, Stills & Nash, Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, The Talking Heads, and more.
Patti, meanwhile, has a few shows coming up, including a reading (September 27 at The Englert Theatre) and a date with her band (September 28 at Hancher Auditorium) in Iowa City; Trio dates in Pioneertown, CA (Pappy and Harriet’s on October 1 and 2); and an “and Friends” date in Kingston, NY (Ulster Performing Arts Center on November 16).
