Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds kicked off their 2025 tour at Boston’s Agganis Arena on Tuesday night. The 22-song setlist included most of last year’s great Wild God, the first play of “Skeleton Tree” in eight years and lots of classics like “Into My Arms,” “The Mercy Seat,” “From Her to Eternity,” “O Children,” “Jubilee Street,” and “Red Right Hand.” Nick spent a lot of time up close and personal with the crowd while The Bad Seeds, which includes Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood these days, provided orchestral sweep, complete with a trio of backup singers. St Vincent was set to open the Boston show, but dropped off just hours before the show due to illness. “Every effort was made to push through and play for you but it was not an option,” a statement read on her socials. Let’s hope she’s feeling better for the other Nick Cave show she’s opening, which is at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Thursday (4/17).
The tour runs through Pasadena’s Cruel World Festival in May and all dates are listed below.
