Newport Jazz Festival has announced the lineup for its 2026 edition which happens July 31 – August 2 at Fort Adams State Park. Headliners this year are Herbie Hancock, a celebration of John Coltrane & Miles Davis ft Kamasi Washington & Chief Adjuah, and Vulfpeck.
The rest of the lineup is pretty diverse and interesting, including Thundercat, viral microtonal French Canadians Angine de Poitrine, Little Simz, Gary Clark Jr, Robert Glasper, Flea and the Honora Band, Arlo Parks, jazz-electronica collective SML, The Bad Plus, Lake Street Dive, Leon Thomas, Cory Wong & Joshua Redman, Snarky Puppy, Nate Smith and more. Specially priced three-day tickets are on sale now, and all other ticket types go on sale Thursday, April 23 at 1 PM Eastern.
The Newport Folk Festival happens the weekend before (July 24-26) with Brandi Carlile, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings (playing Grateful Dead), Cat Power, Courtney Barnett, Tom Morello, CMAT, Kathleen Edwards, Hayley Williams & Friends, Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band, Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy playing REM, Hot Tuna, This is Lorelei, Vulfpeck, and more.
