The New Yorker Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, bringing a mix of conversation, music, film, books, food, theater and art to a variety of NYC venues on October 25-27.They’ve announced the initial lineup, which includes performances from The National (whose are being billed as “band members Matt Berninger and Aaron and Bryce Dessner”) and Sara Bareilles, among other events:
- Alan Cumming in conversation with Emily Nussbaum at Webster Hall on 10/25
- Seth Meyers in conversation with Susan Morrison and debut screening of new comedy special at SVA Theatre on 10/25
- Audra McDonald in conversation with Michael Schulman at SVA Theatre on 10/25
- The National performance & conversation with Amanda Petrusich at Webster Hall on 10/25
- Sara Bareilles performance & conversation with Rachel Syme at Webster Hall on 10/26
- Rachel Maddow in conversation with David Remnick at Webster Hall on 10/27

The National will also be in NYC on September 13 at Forest Hills Stadium, part of their tour with The War on Drugs and Lucius.
