Trust Records and VANS have teamed up to release a new short film from director Conan Buddy Nichols. Intense Energy: Sounds of Skateboarding talks to skateboarders from the ’80s through today, including Steve Olson, Tony Alva, Steve Caballero, Mike Carroll, Eli Morgan Gesner, Beatrice Domond, and Atiba Jefferson, as well as musicians like Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against the Machine), Henry Rollins (Black Flag), Ray Barbee, Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam), Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Dischord Records), and more.
You can watch Intense Energy below, and it’ll screen at a free NYC event at VANS Skate Space (198 Randolph St. in Brooklyn) on Friday, November 21. Somerset Thrower and SPIN will perform, Marc Sinclair will DJ, and you can RSVP to attend for free.
