Last June, the inaugural The Mountain Goats-inspired burlesque/go-go dancing/drag event, “I Only Strip to The Mountain Goats,” happened at NYC’s Parkside Lounge, with bandleader John Darnielle‘s blessing. The event is returning for a second edition, still at Parkside Lounge, on July 6, 2019, and tickets are on sale now.

They’re promising “tracks from all over the discography” will be covered, and “specialty themed cocktails” will be available.
Darnielle chose a charity beneficiary for this year’s show, the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, and they will receive a portion of the proceeds.
