Wolf Parade are thankfully back in action (and playing FYF this weekend), but as you probably know, both co-frontmen are still staying busy with other projects too. Spencer Krug released the excellent Moonface (and Siinai) album My Best Human Face earlier this year, and now he’s got some shows coming up to support it.
Moonface will make it to NYC on November 15 at Baby’s All Right. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
UPDATE: Moonface had to cancel the whole tour. He writes:
Oh, buddies…
You may have heard or read already – I had some Moonface shows lined up for the middle of November, in and around the northeast, but now I have to postpone them.
I’m sorry. It’s not you, it’s me.
At first, they were supposed to be Moonface & Siinai shows, in support of My Best Human Face, but then: Flights! Logistics! Work visas for all those beautiful Finns!
It just wasn’t working…
So then, it was going to be a new idea altogether, a fresh take on some almost as fresh tunes, a sort of… surprise? But then: schedules, bands, boooring stuff…
That wasn’t going to work either.
So now, I’m postponing the whole run until next year. Shucks. Right now I’m thinking March / April, but I’m not positive on the dates yet, so anyone who already bought a ticket will be reimbursed.
And at this point I really don’t know what incarnation of Moonface will be on stage: with Siinai, or as the… surprise? Or something altogether different. I honestly can’t say.
For now, I’ll just say I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t think it was necessary. I hate doing it though. I do.
