The Miki Berenyi Trio, the group led by the former Lush singer/guitarist that also includes KJ McKillop of Moose and Mick Conroy of Modern English (who both also played with Miki in Piroshka) have announced their first US tour. They’ll be joined by Lol Tolhurst (ex-The Cure) and Budgie (ex-Siouxsie & The Banshees) who put out a great record last year with Jacknife Lee.
The tour surrounds MB3’s appearance at Nevada’s Schellraiser fest, and includes stop in Los Angeles (minus Lol/Budgie), San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Denver and Chicago before wrapping up at NYC’s Webster Hall on June 8. Tickets for all headline dates go on sale Friday, January 26 at 10 AM local time.
Judging by UK setlists, the Miki Berenyi Trio play a mix of Lush and Piroshka songs, with a few new ones and covers mixed in.
In other news, Lush’s three ’90s albums were just reissued on vinyl.
