Big Star‘s classic second album Radio City turns 50 this year, and to celebrate, a band that includes Big Star drummer Jody Stephens, Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Chris Stamey (the dB’s), Jon Auer (Big Star/The Posies), and Pat Sansone (Wilco) will be playing it in full, along with other classics by the band, on tour this summer and fall. Variations of this band have toured before and there are three July shows where John Stirratt will sub for Mike Mills. All dates are listed below.
The tour includes a NYC-area show at Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on August 22, and tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, May 31 at 10 AM local time.
