Massive Attack have announced that they will release new music in 2026. In a post to their socials, the Bristol, UK greats wrote, “from next year we will release a cache of work created in the recent past. tracks will be available physically and digitally via a new label…with a Spotify exception.”
Last year, Robert “3D” Del Naja told the NME, ”We do have some new music which we’ve been sitting on for four years… dispute at the label – that’s a different article altogether. Hopefully we’re going to be able to release it next year and do some gigs.”
The band’s last album was 2010’s Heligoland, and their most recent release was 2020’s Eutopia EP.
Massive Attack also say, “For direct announcements on 2026 releases and special performances, join the official Massive Attack WhatsApp channel.”
This exciting news comes just ahead of Massive Attack’s gig tonight (11/13) in São Paulo with Sepultura side project Cavalera. The show is timed to coincide with the COP30 International Climate Change Summit in Belém, Brazil. The only other dates the band have are Spain’s Primavera Sound and Portugal’s Primavera Porto festivals in spring 2026.
