UK singer-songwriter Marika Hackman made her forthcoming album I’m Not Your Man with The Big Moon who have been backing her live (like at SXSW) as well. The two have just announced a joint tour where The Big Moon will also open as well as back Marika. Dates wrap up in Brooklyn at Baby’s All Right on August 16 and tickets for that show go on sale Friay, May 5 at noon. All dates are listed below.
If you haven’t listened to Marika yet, she brings indie rock elements to her baroque folk sound on the new album, and you can check out the very catchy first two singles off the record, below. I’m Not Your Man will be out June 2 via Sub Pop.
The Big Moon, who also hail from London, just released their debut album, Love in the 4th Dimension, via Startime International. If you like the new Marika Hackman songs, you’ll probaly like The Big Moon as well, and you can watch the video for “Sucker” and stream the LP below.
