Electro-pop duo Magdalena Bay have signed to Mom + Pop and released their first single for the label, maximalist alt-pop track “Death & Romance.” It’s their first new music since their third mini mix release in 2023, and they say they have more new music coming. “Imagine rain pouring, streetlights glowing,” they say. “You sit at home and wait for your alien boyfriend to pick you up in his UFO…but this time, he’s not coming.” Hear it below.
They’ve also announced a fall North American tour, “The Imaginal Mystery Tour.” It begins on September 3 in San Francisco and runs through October 2 in Los Angeles, and you can see all dates below.
The NYC show is at Brooklyn Steel on September 20. Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday, May 31 at 10 AM local, with various presales starting Thursday, May 30 at 10 AM local.
