Jay-Z-curated Philadelphia festival Made in America will not be happening in 2024. Organizers didn’t give a reason for the move, but write that they are “reimagining a live music experience that affirms our love and dedication to music and the work we do,” and say the festival will return in the future. This is the second year in a row that Made in America won’t take place. The 2023 edition was cancelled a month before it was set to happen, and cited “severe circumstances outside of production control” behind the decision. The cancellation also followed allegations of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment against Lizzo, one of its scheduled headliners. Lizzo denied the allegations.
