Mac grilling up some hot stax o’ wax
Mac DeMarco and Shamir recently hung out on a Brooklyn rooftop, playing Jenga, smoking cigarettes and shooting the breeze for a Complex TV video. It’s a pretty fun tete-a-tete, and conversation topics include pot smoking, what they would do first if they switched bodies, and pet peeves. Mac’s new mini-LP, Another One, is out in about a month with those four NYC shows coming up as well. To promote the NYC run, Mac is going to throw a BBQ on Wednesday (7/8) at 153 Morgan Ave (at Meserole) in Brooklyn at 1 PM. They’ll be selling “Ass Passes” that get you into all four shows (including the sold-out Bowery, MHOW and Webster shows), which also come with a specially designed t-shirt and a “surprise item” yet to be revealed. Plus if you bring a food bank item, Mac will grill you a hot dog. He won’t be playing live but will be jamming some unreleased music over his car stereo. More details on the flyer below.
