NYC’s Loosey are gearing up to release their debut album, a compilation titled A Retrospective: 2023-2025, on May 8 via TKO Records. If you like your hardcore with a heaping helping of AC/DC-style hard rock you’ll want to turn this up. We’ve got the premiere of their video for “There You Were (Alligator Song),” which originally appeared on their Winter Promo ‘23 cassette and has been remastered for this album.
“There You Were (Alligator Song)” is their first-ever video and it was directed by Lucas Cabu and shot entirely at a live show on a Manhattan rooftop where — spoiler alert — the cops do show up. “We shot this video at an undisclosed location but it was originally just another show for us that turned into a video,” says Fizzy, Loosey’s vocalist. “I think it really shows the LOOSEY vibe and lifestyle, just a big, fun hang. Tons of people were at the show to check us out that night, and it represents NYC and who we are– rockers, rappers, graffiti kids, rich, poor, just all here for a good time.” Check out the video below.
Loosey will celebrate the release of A Retrospective with a hometown show at Union Pool on May 8. It’s with Early Grave and Seely-Jurgens Band, and tickets are on sale now
Fizzy is also in The New York Hounds, and they’re playing a newly announced Brooklyn show with Haywire (whose “Clocktower Place” Fizzy sings on), Smashing Time, and Jerry Rig, which happens on March 27 at 314 Scholes (Haywire’s social media says it’s “ABOVE SUBSTANCE SKATEPARK/ BELOW LOHI”). Tickets are on sale now.
That happens during Haywire’s tour supporting Drain, the same night they play Union Transfer in Philly and a couple days before the sold out NYC shows with No Pressure and Secret World at Irving Plaza on March 29 and Warsaw on March 30.
