listen to new Slowdive bonus track “30th June” + setlist from Brooklyn Steel night 2

Slowdive‘s fantastic new album, their first in 22 years, just came out and if you’ve been devouring that, here’s one more new song to bliss out to. “30th June” is a bonus track on the Japanese edition of the album, and builds from vocal and guitar samples into a sweeping epic. If you’re looking for a bridge between Pygmalion and the new album, this is it, and it shows Slowdive’s influence on post-rock as well. Stream that below.

The band’s North American tour with Japanese Breakfast hit NYC earlier this week with two shows at Brooklyn Steel. The second show also featured some technical difficulties at the start — the speakers blew during opening song “Slomo” but it was smooth sailing after that, and it was a slightly different setlist than Monday’s show. (Night 2 got “Blue Skied An’ Clear”.) Check out the night 2 setlist below. Slowdive’s tour wraps up tonight (5/11) in Atlanta.
